Day 1: Ocean Beach

So, I've definitely fallen off the bandwagon when it comes to posting to this blog. It's been over two years since I've updated this blog, but I want to try and start it up again. I love photography and always have enjoyed taking photos, so while a photo a day may have been too ambitious, I'm going to try and use this as an outlet to share my photos in a way that doesn't harass you (like on, say, Facebook). Please feel free to visit and check out what I'm doing. As most of you probably know, I've since moved to San Francisco, although I'll keep the name of The Berkeley Chronicles because it is still Berkeley, Calif., that brought me out here to this wonderful state!

This first photo is a picture I took a month or so ago jogging on Ocean Beach, which is about three miles or so from my house. I like to jog here barefoot (I know, it's almost too California sounding) whenever it's nice enough out.

Day 78: Glass Shop

I wanted to apologize to everyone for not posting the past couple of weeks. I recently got a job as a Web Editor at Smart Meetings magazine. This is my third week there, but it's definitely been an adjustment. And, unfortunately, I haven't had time to take many photos. To prove that I've actually been doing something, you can read some of the blogs I've written for the company here.

Day 78: This past Saturday, Brandon and his friend Santo built a glass shop on our back patio. Brandon's happy because he has a more efficient workspace, and I'm happy because it opened up our patio enough to have a barbeque this past weekend!

Day 64: Carson Falls

Day 64: We went on a three-hour hike to this 90-foot-long waterfall. The landscape was incredibly green, almost like photos of Ireland I've seen in the past.

Day 63: Trampolining on Baker Beach

Day 63: Okay, I didn't exactly take this photo because it's a photo of me, but I asked Brandon to take it from a certain angle so that the bridge was showing in the back. Anyways, some kids brought a trampoline to the beach! As soon as I saw them jumping, I knew I had to do it too. Luckily for me, they were willing to share. What could be better then jumping on a trampoline while looking at the ocean and Golden Gate Bridge?? It's like a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Day 57: Big Sur

Day 57: For those of you that aren't as obsessed with Jack Kerouac as I am (he refers to this area of Cali in several of his books), Big Sur is the part of Highway 1, just south of Monterey, that offers beautiful views of the Pacific coastline. There are also several national forests and rivers in the same area. I definitely recommend going at least once in your life for, not only the views, but the air just smells better there.

Day 55: Seven Sisters

Day 55: Here are the famous seven sister houses in San Francisco off of Alamo Square park. For those of you that grew up in the late 80s, early 90s, you probably know them as the Full House houses, where Danny, Jesse and Joey gave the youth of America several words of wisdom, accompanied by an array of cheesy, elevator music.

Day 45: Community Garden in San Rafael

Day 45: I know the phone booth is random, but I haven't seen a pay phone let alone one in an actual booth for ages!

Day 42: Baker Beach

Day 42: Baker Beach is one of my favorite beaches in San Francisco. The view of the Golden Gate is one of the best in the city and you can watch big freight boats coming into the bay. Luckily for you, I didn't close up of the naked guys playing volleyball in the nudist part of the beach.

Day 39: Tilden Park

Day 39: A couple of weeks ago, I showed you photos of Anza Lake in my "Fog on the Lake" photo. Anza Lake is located in Tilden Park in the Berkeley Hills. I go on hikes there often, and here are some more photos of it on a much clearer day.
